About the Role
We are looking for an AWS Presales Solutions Engineer to join our growing team and help drive AWS cloud adoption across our customer base.
You'll partner with our sales and delivery teams to understand customer challenges, design compelling AWS solutions, and lead the technical conversation from first discovery through to deal closure. Increasingly, this includes data platform and AI/ML workloads, helping customers architect solutions around analytics, machine learning, and generative AI on AWS. You'll be a key face of Cloud Office in front of client, translating technology into clear business outcomes.
Come and join Cloud Office - the only company in the region that is part of the AWS Solution Provider Program!
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective customers to uncover business goals, pain points, and cloud readiness.
- Design AWS solution architectures (including migrations, landing zones, hybrid connectivity, containers, and data platforms) tailored to customer requirements.
- Scope and present data and AI/ML solutions on AWS, including data lake architectures, analytics pipelines (Redshift, Glue, Athena), and AI/ML platforms (SageMaker, Bedrock), responding to growing customer demand for intelligent, data-driven applications.
- Own presales deliverables: proposals, RFI/RFP responses, Statements of Work, effort estimates, and architecture documentation.
- Deliver customer-facing demos, workshops, and PoCs to validate proposed solutions and build technical confidence.
- Support the full sales cycle from opportunity qualification and deal strategy to pricing and proposal presentation.
- Act as an AWS trusted advisor, communicating best practices around security, governance, cost optimization (FinOps), and Well-Architected principles.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to execution, maintaining solution integrity.
- Contribute to CloudOffice's AWS partnership development, including tracking certifications, competencies, and partner program requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture or engineering, including migrations, infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, databases, and security.
- Proven ability to design and present solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles, including proposals and RFP responses.
- Strong written and verbal communication - able to produce high-quality documentation and hold a boardroom conversation.
- A learning mindset - cloud and AI move fast, and we expect our team to move with them.
- Fluent Bulgarian and business-level English.
Nice to Have
- AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certification.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or on-premises connectivity).
- Familiarity with AWS data services - Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, or Kinesis.
- Exposure to AI/ML or generative AI on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock) or equivalent platforms, and the ability to scope and position these engagements commercially.
- Familiarity with containers (EKS, ECS), FinOps, or cost governance tooling.
- Exposure to GitLab, DevSecOps, or CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
